Whether you are treating yourself to dinner, going on a date or your family is in Saint Paul for the night... You must try these restaurants. I'm giving you restaurant realness, my favorite dishes and also some helpful tips! My recommendations range from traditional to modern to cultural to hole in wall... So, let's begin with my two favorite brunch spots:

1.) French Hen

Soo soo good. The space is small and close to the capitol. My tip? Make a reservation hehe.

Here's what to order: Bahn Mi Benedict - YOU WILL NOT REGRET.

2.) Tongue in Cheek

This was the first place I brunched at when I moved to Saint Paul about 3 years ago. The atmosphere is edgy, modern... The menu does change (they do a great job on updating) so they may not have my suggestion on the menu, but if they do....

Here's what to order: Chicken and Waffles. My tip? Order their brunch special. $25 for coffee, a handcrafted cocktail, 2 teasers AND your entre. HOLLA!

Moving onto Lunch and Dinner:

3.) On's Thai Kitchen

Two words: damn delicious.

Each dish is made to order, so expect to wait.... and expect to be completely blown out of the water by how amazing the food is. My tip? Order a spice level one. Don't pretend to be a hot shot, because they do not mess with spice here. I enjoy spice, and am no stranger to packin' on the heat... but seriously you may not be able to eat your meal because it's that hot!

Here's what to order: Tom Yum Soup + Pad See Ew

4.) Moscow on the Hill

Like Vodka? Cool, they make it in house! This Russian restaurant is packed with culture, flavor and did I mention Vodka? Every drink is fabulous and they even offer vodka flights! This is a great spot for anyone really (eh, maybe not children). A unique experience in Saint Paul, that deserves more attention.

Here's what to order: Pelmeni + Moscow Fries.

5.) Revival

Ahhh... yes this is a Saint Paul classic. If you are looking for family to please, bring them here. The southern style cuisine brings flavor, butter and sass right to your table. The drinks are great and the food is even better. I suggest ordering a full bird if you have more than 4 people in your party. My tip? Just order all the sides.

Here's what to order: Tennessee Hot Chicken

6.) Everest On Grand

Looking for big, bold and grand flavors? This indian restaurant is small in size but not in flavor.

Here's what to order: Yak Momo's (middle and left). My tip? Come right at 11AM to hit their lunch buffet. BEST buffet I have been to in a long time.

7.) Black Sea

Black Sea is a small Turkish restaurant on Snelling that you'll definitely miss if you blink. The space is snug, but oh so worth it to dine in. My tip? Don't order individually.

Here's what to order: Any platter.

8.) Tori Ramen

This place is so freaking magical. The restaurant is quaint and there may be a wait (oops I didn't mean to rhyme)... but lord have mercy, don't wait! My tip? Go with a friend and swap bowls mid meal!

Here'w what to order: Bali Bali and the Salted Duck

That's it from me people. Enjoy and make sure to #eatzandcookz on your next eating adventure!

xoxo
